unexpressed emotion or the fire within you
to elevate a moment in time? Put these things

inner self of Ed Dunn.
From the canyons of NYC to the Hills of Hollywood,
this Gent has been laying down soulful blends
of harmonious rhythms, which truly speaks
to one’s SOUL. Raised on the sites and
sounds of New York City, this Queens native
credits his musical education to the soulful
sounds of such notables as Chaka Khan, Stevie
Wonder, Teddy Pendegrass and of course the
Elements of Life “Earth, Wind and Fire”.
But soul music was not the sole ingredient
used to formulate the foundation of his musical
talent.
From growing up listening to Jazz on his Dad’s
reel to reel, to reading the album covers
while listening to his Sister’s R &
B record collection; he developed an eclectic
taste in music.
When asked when he was first introduced to
the genre called House music, Ed reflects
back to the first time he heard Tony Humphries
on late night radio. Religiously, he dropped
in a cassette to record Tony’s Saturday
night sets…”Christmas came weekly
for me, as I eagerly arose every Sunday morning
to unwrap a gift from a legend. I was mesmerized
listening to likes of Mr. Fingers, Liz Torres,
D-Train and the Colonel…it was the music
that truly spoke to my soul.”
Graduating from a pair of ‘belt driven
turntables’, Ed has been telling his
story on some of the hottest sound systems
in NYC, across the states and abroad. House
music was now the beginning, and everything
in between was part of his story. From the
sounds of spiritual vocals, African Tribes
and Vibes, to the mellowness of the strings,
his diversity of music and his passion brings
life to any dance floor as he tells his story.
His motto is “Feed the Soul to Connect
